St Mary’s Parishioner Ordained Monk

A Parishioner of St May’s Parish, Samaru, Rev. Monk Micheal Mary Jecho Ogah has been ordained a Monk by the Catholic Bishop of Otukpo diocese, Most Rev Michael Ekwoyi Apochi.

The Solemn Monastic profession took place on Saturday,  March 2 at Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Cistercian Monastery, Umabe Ehaje-Ugbo Kolo Okpokwu LGA, Benue State.

Others who also look the Monastic Profession were Rev. Monk Godwin Mary Inalegwu Ejike and Monk Anthony Mary Igbisi Ojobo who took the simple profession.

At the event, Bishop Apochi urged the Monks to live according to their calling and called on all to pray for them fervently. He commended their commitment, patience and sacrifice and wished them a blessed and fulfilling vocation.

A thanksgiving Mass has been scheduled for Sunday March 10 at St. Mary’s Samaru for the Rev. Monk Michael Ogah who was a onetime chief sacristan of the altar servers of St. Mary’s till he got admission into the Monastery.
