Don’t Feel Cheated —– Fr. Monday

Nigerians whose candidates did not emerge winners of the just concluded 2019 general elections have been advised not to feel cheated but have faith for a better Nigeria.

The Assistant Parish Priest of Sacred Heart Parish, Wusasa, Zaria Rev. Fr. Monday Bature gave the advice on Sunday March 3, 2019 while addressing parishioners.

He said though the elections in some places was said to be rigged in favour of the ruling party, Nigerians who voted against the party should rather than taking laws into their hands, should pray for God’s intervention adding that he will never forsake us.

“What happened at the just concluded elections should not discourage us in future elections, we shouldn’t feel cheated. I was impressed with our turnout it was massive, even if you think your votes did not count. God’s intervention is the ultimate and he will bear you witness. So your coming out was not a waste” he said.

Fr. Monday who is also the assistant chancellor of the Catholic Diocese of Zaria later frowned at those who abandoned their location to travel to another state in the name of safety during election saying “wherever you go if God say you will die there it will happen. So I advise those who are fond of travelling during elections to desist, especially we Christians. Where is your faith” he wondered.
