Ex-Seminarian ties the Knot

All roads led to St. Enda’s parish, Palladan on Saturday, March 2 where dignitaries from all walks of life converged from far and near to witness the solemnization of holy matrimony between an ex-seminarian of the Archdiocese of Kaduna, Mr. Joseph Obiabo, and Miss Perpetual Wandoo Ashungu.

In his homily, Rev. Fr. Felix Yayock, who described marriage as an endless journey, advised the couple to strive towards helping each other, embrace forgiveness, patience, tolerance and above all, the fear of God.

“Marriage is an endless journey and you are bound to make mistakes. It can be made easy  if you imbibe the virtues of forgiveness, tolerance and prayer. I also look at marriage like a phone; you must charge the battery, put a sim card, recharge it and even if you do that if there is no network you can’t make a call. So the flame of your love must be kept alive otherwise it will die. I believe you won’t allow that to happen,” he said.

The clergyman, who is the assistant parish priest of St. Paul’s parish, Anguwar Sarki further admonished the couple to avoid the inclusion of third party should there be any misunderstanding, but always run to God in prayer for the ultimate solution. “Always think responsibly, be contented and plan for a better future so as to avoid regrets in future,” he said.

About twenty nine priests attended the wedding ceremony. A powerful reception at the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT) Hall, Zaria climaxed the wedding ceremony.
