Maria Assumpta Holds Parish Congress

Parishioners of Maria Assumpta Parish, Jushin Waje came out en masse on Sunday, December and held her parish congress in order to end the year.

The congress, which took place after the celebration of the Holy Mass, featured a welcome address from the parish priest, Rev. Fr. Hosea Hassan, interactive session, Questions and Answers, presentation of the financial report of the year, report on the renovation of Rev. Father’s house, 2018 harvest thanksgiving report, closing remarks and benediction.

Earlier during the Mass, the parish priest donated the sum of 20 thousand naira for his family planting, other activities include launching for the Rev. Father’s upkeep, a thanksgiving procession from the widows association of the parish and a sendoff prayer for one of the parishioners, Miss. Helen Jonathan.

At the congress, one of the parishioners praised the developmental strides of the parish priest, describing him as a “Silent achiever, humble, committed, a man with a vision and futuristic goals in life”. He prayed God to take him to higher heights.

Most of the parishioners present applauses Fr. Hosea for his level of transparency and dedication towards developing the parish and prayed God to reward him abundantly.

Maria Assumpta parish has recorded a lot of developments under Fr. Hosea, part of which is the purchase of houses surrounding the Parish, renovation of Father’s House, building of the new church, Father’s office, a borehole and others projects also supported by the diocese.
