CEBSS holds 3 – day Revival

Catholic Evanelization Bible Study Society (CEBSS) of Zaria Diocese recently held a 3 – day power packed Revival.

The  Revival  with the theme “ Oh Lord show us your Mercy” which was held at St. Andrew’s Catholic Police Chaplaincy along the Motor Traffic Division (MTD), Zaria featured Holy Mass, Praise and worship, intercessory prayers, talks as well as healing and deliverance.

In his presentation, the chaplain of St. Andrew’s chaplaincy, Rev. Fr.(DSP) Fabian Azatyom, said for God to show mercy to his people, they must be ready to mend their ways from bad to good, adding that “God in his infinite mercy will listen to us, forgive our sins and have our land restored in prosperity only if we turn to him in sincerity.”

On his part, Evangelizer Pius Auta urged the Catholic Faithful to hope only in God, especially in trying moments; believing that things will turn around. He warned Christians to desist from what he described as prayers of revenge and destruction. “If someone, for example, prays that God should destroy or scatter the enemy, how has that fellow reconciled with God despite the person’s shortcomings,” he said. Finally, the Catholic trained Evangelizer urged Catholics to always do the right thing so as to attract God’s favour and blessings.

Also speaking at the occasion was Mr. Mike Ameh who spoke on “Restoration.” He said, “God will restore all that we have lost only if Christians repent of their wrong doings. The 3-day revival is timely, owing to the various challenges facing the country.”

Finally, the diocesan Chairman of CEBSS, Evangelizer Donatus Okpe appreciated the speakers for the rich messages, as well as, the other members for coming out in large number. He thanked the Police Chaplaincy in a special way for hosting them and prayed God to sustain their relationship.
