Bishop Dodo Consecrates Church in Galadimawa, receives consent of 7 Couples

The Catholic Bishop of Zaria Diocese, Most Rev. George Joanthan Dodo, on Sunday, January 27consecrated the new church building of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Galadimawa, an outstation of St. Theresa’s pastoral area, Shika and received the consent of seven couples.

Addressing the faithful, the Bishop appreciated them for their commitment and efforts in the realization of the project and advised them to protect the structure as the need arises.

He admonished the 7 newly wedded couples to be faithful to their marital vows and embrace the virtues of love, understanding, patience, perseverance and the fear of God.

On his part, the priest in-charge of St. Theresa’s pastoral Area very, Rev. Fr. Anthony Mallam, thanked the Bishop for his support, the parishioners and indeed other donors who made the project a reality and prayed God to bless them abundantly. He also encouraged the Catholic faithful to be committed and continue to support the church for the growth of Evangelization.

Mr. Raphael Julius (KSM), the chairman of the laity council of St. Theresa, equally expressed joy for the realization of the project and assured the Bishop and the priest of support.

The church project was made possible with the support of the Diocese, church contribution and Professor Joseph Shebayan, while the mass wedding was sponsored by the Ladies of St. Mulumba (LSM) of Kaduna Metropolitan Council.
